Wasnt the goal today, March 12, 2008? Just wondering if it is infact on schedule. And what exactly will be needed to allow low-end and high-end to play together? _________________ Do The DEW!!!!

The low end and high end game clients won't be able to play together. Eventually the two engines will be merged but at this time the Mac and low end PC version will be compatible but the high end engine is left alone. The visuals are a lot better in the high end build but it runs about 1/5th the speed so it's actually kind of nice to play the low end game at 1280 X 1024 while enjoying 60fps.
As soon as it's possible at all to merge the builds I will. |

| Oh yeah, the low end build is on target for today. I'll be releasing it as well as updates for all versions. The gameplay has been tweaked a little. I think the low end PC version is nearly done, just had to redo the controller bindings for it as it lacks xinput so instead of using the Xbox 360 pad's native inputs I had to bind everything to a standard joystick that maps to the 360 pad. The only casualty is the rumble feature. |
