Ron Paul isn't an anarchist.
He's a constitutional republican, the likes of which we haven't seen for many, many years. Not having Constitutionalists is one of the reasons our country is on "the highway to hell." |

I like a lot of what Ron Paul has to say. He certainly seems to speak the truth. Unfortunately, he can't seem to capture more than 5% of the vote. I think his biggest issue is that he comes across as fragile in terms of physical stature. Mostly, it's not even his physical stature but his voice. Call me crazy but I think Obama is doing as well as he is simply because he's got a thunderous voice.
A lot of these candidates are making good points. I think the one I disagree with the most is John McCain. His 100 years of war comment was obnoxious and his attitude has been one of contempt for many of his opponents. To some I think that makes him seem strong but I just see another hard-headed Bush type who doesn't want to listen to anyone else. Strength is necessary but arrogance is not.
Hillary I think has a lot of solid ideas. The reason I'm not in her corner so much is because I think she'll experience too much friction. Where Obama seems to be made of wax paper Hillary is like a piece of sand paper. They have similar ideas but in the end he'll have any easier time getting them done.
Huckabee, well aside from the obvious extreme religious aspect I think he says a lot of things that make sense. He's one of the best debaters out there. He has trounced all the other republican nominees when it comes to that. He also spent next to no money on his campaign so I respect that.
I'll be honest and say there are sometimes when I think McCain makes sense which sounds crazy with everything I outlined above but hear me out. I was against the Iraq war myself. I called their bluff from day one. The problem is that now we're already there. Sometimes you have to see your screw-ups through to the end. As a country it might be our responsibility to make things right. Of course it will be another debate to decide whether the best way is to stay there or the best way is to pull out. A small percentage of my mind sees staying there until it's stable as the right way ... small percentage
Bottomline, I haven't made my mind up yet. I want to see every debate from now till November and hopefully make a more informed decision. |

What kind of friction are YOU talking about?
i say blow up Iraq or do a full invasion and take over. This picking and choosing is rediculous, just end it with blood just like they started it with blood. _________________ Do The DEW!!!!
